I had a wonderful time at the tenacity supper club's Thankgiving event the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Almost 40 diners gathered at Paulie's restaurant on Westheimer to delight in chef Randy Rucker's deconstructed tradtional plates. Also in the kitchen was Paulie Petrocelli, Plinio Sandalio, Michael Moore, Dr. Ricky & others. The wine flowed, new and old friends connected and we all gave thanks for the opportunity to celebrate the good life. Pictured is Rucker's take on green bean casserole. It tasted exactly like the original, yet was made using local fresh non-tradtional ingredients. Simply brilliant.
